Fundraiser Chef's Dinners

St. Luke's is sending twenty of its leaders on a delegation to Uganda and an East African refugee camp next summer 2022, and we need your help to make this exciting dream a reality! 

We are offering a monthly series of three-course dinners designed by local chefs and home cooks and prepared by our congregants to fundraise for this trip. Dinners will be held in person in the garden at St. Luke's in North Park.

 

September 26th meal is presented by Mama Africa

Mama Africa Catering is run by a team of former refugee women, most of whom are from South Sudan and the Democratic Republic of the Congo, with a passion for sharing our rich heritage through the many different foods we prepare.


Our recipes reflect the unique cultures that have become a part of us over generations: while most of our recipes are rooted in our original countries in Africa, many of the dishes we offer are also influenced by the cultures and places we have lived or experienced on our journey to our new home in San Diego.

Each ticket is $60, so please make your payment based on how many tickets you'd like to purchase.  We'd appreciate any additional donations to underwrite this expedition as well.
